The Nether is a hellish domain where monsters roam and danger is at every step.
Inside the Nether contains the following Mobs: Zombie Pigmen, Ghast, Magma Cube, Blazes. Blocks are: Red mushrooms, Brown mushrooms, Gravel, Lava, Bedrock, Netherrack, Nether brick, Soul sand, Glowstone, Nether wart, and Nether Quartz.
How to get in: First, you need to make a nether portal, below is shown how. (Note): you do not need to put any type of block in the corners) and then light one of the bottom blocks on fire with a flint & steel.
Structures
Apart from the terrain, Nether Fortresses are giant castles that are made of Nether Bricks, Nether Brick Fences, and Nether Brick Stairs. These structures have monster spawners that spawn Blazes.
Trivia
- While water buckets cannot be used in the Nether, Ice blocks can be melted to move water into the Nether (as of update 1.5, this only works in Creative, as ice blocks cannot be collected).
- Zombie Pigmen and Blazes can leave the Nether through nether portals and are able to cause havoc in the overworld.
