A Sign is a wooden slab-like block which allows text to be written on. To do this, place a sign then, when the wooden square allowing you to write on pops up, click 'A' and write whatever you want in the Xbox 360 textbox. However, you cannot write swear words or pornographic words on the sign. Doing so will bring up the words "Censored". You can only write four lines of information on signs. When a sign is destroyed, so is everything on it as well.

Multiplayer[]

Signs are used in multiplayer for several reasons. They are normally used for marking property, leaving directions, warning for danger, and stating rules. They are also used to keep other players out of your home or chests by putting "Private" on them and then your name underneath.

Crafting[]

Crafting a Sign

Signs are crafted using 6 Wooden Planks and 1 Stick. It will give 3 signs after crafting.

Trivia[]

  • Signs can be placed on the side of slabs and stairs, unlike torches.
  • Because of their looks, signs can be used to decorate, such as on the side of a staircase to appear as an arm rest on a chair.
