A Spider Jockey is one of the rarest mobs in the game. It only has a 1% chance of spawning. A Spider Jockey is formed when a skeleton and a spider spawn at the exact same time in the exact same place. When they spawn right on top of each other, it causes the two mobs to be stuck together and it looks like the skeleton is sitting on the spider.
If you happen to find one and hit one mob and even kill it, the other mob will not be hurt. It's just like fighting two mobs at once: if you kill one, you still have to kill the other.

- It is possible to force spawn a spider jockey by using Dispensers and spawn eggs to spawn both the Skeleton and the Spider in the same location.
- A Spider Jockey can very rarely drop a music disk or fermented spider eye.
- Sometimes the spider runs away and the skeleton will remain sitting in the air, not moving or attacking.
